🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Community

DAC supports two main types of communities, each with distinct purposes and verification levels:

🧍 1. Personal Community

A community created by an individual user.

  • Normal:

The default status for personal communities. No identity verification is required.

  • KYC (Know Your Customer):

The identity has been verified by DAC. This adds trust and credibility to the community owner.

🏢 2. Organization Community

A community is established by a project, brand, or company.

  • Unverified:

Default status for new organizational communities. No verification has been completed.

  • Verified:

The organization has submitted the required documents and has been verified by DAC, enhancing its legitimacy and user trust.

🛠️ How to Create a Community

📌 Prerequisite: Before creating a community, make sure you've already become a MetaCitizen. This ensures account security and allows for proper ownership and management of your community.

To create a new community on DAC, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the DAC homepage and click on your User Profile icon (top right corner).

  2. Select “My Communities” from the dropdown menu.

  3. In the My Communities section, you’ll see:

    • Communities you own

    • Communities you are following

  4. Click “Create Community” to start the setup process and define your community's identity, purpose, and type (Personal or Organization).

🧩 Step 1: Fill in Detailed Information

Start by providing the essential details that define your community’s identity:

  • Community Name

  • Community URL

  • Community Description

  • Select up to 3 categories that best describe your focus (e.g. Social, GameFi, DeFi, NFT, Web3, DAO, Infrastructure, Layer1/Layer2, Others)

  • Choose the type of community: Personal or Organization

  • Upload a logo and background image to visually brand your community

This information helps Hunters and users better understand what your community is about and what it represents.

🔗 Step 2: Connect Accounts

Link your official social media accounts to enhance trust and expand your reach:

  • Supported platforms: Website, Telegram, Discord, and X (Twitter)

  • Connecting these accounts enables multi-platform engagement, increases credibility, and improves visibility for your quests.

Establishing strong links between your DAC community and external platforms ensures a seamless experience for users and builds confidence among participants

✏️ Editing a Community

Community owners (Requesters) have the ability to manage and update key information related to their communities. This ensures communities remain active, relevant, and well-maintained.

To edit your community:

  1. Navigate to the DAC homepage and click on “My Communities.”

  2. Find and select the community you wish to update from your list.

  3. Go to the Overview tab and click “Edit” to start modifying your community details.

🔧 What You Can Edit:

Requesters can modify the following elements at any time:

  • Avatar (Logo)

  • Background Image

  • Community Description

  • Social Media Links (Website, Telegram, Discord, X)

🔒 Immutable Fields

To protect the platform’s integrity and prevent impersonation or fraud, certain core information cannot be edited once the community is created:

  • Community Name

  • Community URL

  • Community Category

  • Type of Community (Personal or Organization)

📝 Requesting Changes to Immutable Fields

If you need to update any immutable fields (e.g., due to rebranding, expansion, or restructuring), you must submit a change request form to the DAC Admin team.

This manual review process ensures that all significant updates are handled with care and maintain the transparency, consistency, and credibility of the DAC ecosystem.

✅ How to Verify a Community

Verifying your community helps establish credibility, improve visibility, and unlock additional features within the DAC platform. Follow these steps to submit a verification request:

🧭 Step-by-Step Verification Process

  1. Access Your Community

    • Go to My Communities on the DAC homepage and select the community you wish to verify.

    • Navigate to the Overview tab and click “Verify.”

  2. Fill Out the Verification Form

Depending on the type of community (Organization or Personal), you’ll be asked to complete a different form:

    🏢 Organization Community Verification

Fill out the Verify Organization Submission Form with the following:

    • Contact Position: Your role in the organization.

    • Contact Name: The individual responsible for the request.

    • Contact Email: Must be a valid business email address.

    • Company Website: Official company website URL.

    • Proof of Administration: Upload a screenshot showing admin access to one of the following platforms:

      • Twitter

      • Telegram

      • Discord

    • Community URL: Auto-filled by DAC.

    • KYC Verification: Upload a copy of your business license for identity verification.

    🧍 Personal Community Verification

Fill out the KYC Personal Submission Form with the following:

    • Contact Name

    • Contact Email

    • Company Website (if applicable)

    • Proof of Administration: Upload a screenshot showing admin access to one of the following platforms:

      • Twitter

      • Telegram

      • Discord

    • Community URL: Auto-filled by DAC.

    • KYC Verification: Upload a valid passport or national ID.

  3. Submit the Form

    • Double-check your entries and click Submit.

    • Your community’s status will update to “Verifying.”

    • You will receive a confirmation email once your verification request has been reviewed and approved by the DAC Admin team.

  4. Finalize the Verification

    • Once approved, return to the Overview tab of your community and click “Confirm Approval.”

    • Your community will now display a KYC label (for Personal) or a verification checkmark (for Organization) as a badge of trust.

🔒 Why Verification Matters

Verification promotes transparency, builds trust with Hunters, and enables you to:

  • Launch more advanced or sensitive quests

  • Attract higher-quality participants

  • Strengthen the reputation and legitimacy of your community

It’s a key step in ensuring a safe, diverse, and trusted experience across the DAC ecosystem.

👥 Community Members & Roles

Every DAC community operates with a structured role system to ensure smooth management and collaboration. There are three primary roles within a community:

👑 1. Owners

  • Owners are the founders and creators of the community.

  • They have full control over community settings and management.

  • Owners can assign or remove Managers and control their permissions.

🧑‍💼 2. Managers

  • To become a Manager, a user must become a MetaCitizen.

  • Managers assist in operating and growing the community.

  • Each community can have up to 20 Managers.

  • Once assigned, Managers receive Requester-level access, allowing them to create Quests, manage members, and monitor performance.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 3. Members

  • Members are users who either follow the community or have participated in and completed its quests.

  • While they don’t have management permissions, they are essential to the community’s activity, visibility, and success.

With this clear division of roles and responsibilities, DAC’s community structure offers both flexibility and scalability, empowering communities to grow efficiently while staying organized.
